Aligners need to be worn for 20-22 hours per day for optimal results.  Not wearing them as recommended can extend the overall treatment time.  Each aligner is changed weekly.   After the active treatment phase, wearing retainers or a lingual wire as prescribed is crucial to maintaining the results and preventing relapse.
